1. What is a Hollywood?
Hollywoods and Brazilian waxing is a type of bikini wax treatment. Hollywood waxing at 27 Two 6 beauty is removing all of the hair from the bikini area. We start by removing all the hair from the bum, inside the bum cheeks, we then turn you over and remove everything else from the area! However, Brazilian waxing is a little different. We still remove all of the hair from the bum area and then turn you over and remove but we leave a little strip of hair on the front area.
2. Is it Painful? what to expect
At 27 Two 6 Beauty we do our best to reduce any pain as much as possiable . Hollywoods and Brazilains can be uncomfortable the first time round depending on your pain threshold but it is bearable. If you get them done regularly the less pain you will feel as each time you get a wax the hairs become finer, making your waxing experience more comfortable and pain free! You may feel nervous your first time but you will be with a fully qualified therapist & super experienced therapist who will reassure you through the treatment and make you feel at ease. 3. How long does it last? How long do the hairs need to be?
Hollywood and Brazilian waxing lasts for weeks! We recommend that you get your waxing done between 4-6 weeks, this may not be the case for every client as everyone has a different speed of hair growth.
The length of your hair can’t be too short or too long. This can make it more difficult to wax the intimate area, we say the hair should be about the size of a grain of rice.
4. How long does the treatment take?
The treatment takes around 20-25 minutes. We only use Moosey Hot wax for these types of treatments. Hot wax compared to strip wax ( removed with a strip ) is a lot better and more gentle on the skin for any type of bikini area, it is so much less painful and more kinder to the skin.
5. What happens in the room?
Your Therapist will take you into the room and ask you to remove your bottom half ( everything off ) . We then cleanse the areas and apply a hydrating oil to protect the skin and then off we go apply the wax and make you as smooth as a baby’s bum!
Once we have removed all the hair, we then apply soothing after wax cream, to get rid of any excess wax or stickiness and to also sooth that area. it’s that quick & easy
6.Can I have a Hollywood when I am on my period?
Yes you can come for a hollywood wax when you’re on your period, you have to wear a tampon not a sanitary towel, however we do advise not to come during this time of the month as it can be more painful
7. What can I expect after the treatment has been done?
After your hollywood or brazilian is finished you may experience some redness but do not panic this is only where we have waxed and pulled the hair out from its root, redness is completely normal. The skin might be slighly tender for a few hours but then go back to normal
